Centenary Commemorative Book100 Years of CaringThis beautifully illustrated book is a collector’s item and comes in Hardback with 276 pages of nostalgic stores and photographs of Cappagh over the past 100 years. It is a combination of stories and pictures donated by past patients and staff, and compiled into a fabulous visual of 100 years of Caring. For many, their childhood memories are of Cappagh, spending up to 8 years in the hospital. Cappagh National Orthopaedic Hospital is part of Dublin’s history, both architecturally and as an institution. Cappagh has a reputation for caring that still exists today. Its impact on the community and patients is witnessed by the many contributions to the book and by whole sections dedicated to it in books by ex patients (Jonathan Aiken and Paddy Doyle).
